CLTNCE Preparing
For
It is important
to remember that the CLTNCE is an assessment of professional transliteration
skills and knowledge, and NOT a test of basic cueing accuracy or speed.
Individuals who wish to take the CLTNCE should possess a thorough understanding
of the
Code of Conduct (1989 Fleetwood &Metzger), the Code of Ethics (1989
RID, Inc.) and the appropriate application of each to various situations.
Additionally,
said individuals should possess a fundamental understanding of: cultural
and audio logical consumer attributes; transliterator role, function, and
processes; linguistics; professional organizations and terminology; and
cueing mechanics, history, and research.
