Trustee receives written notification indicating whether or not a certificate has been awarded. In addition, a comprehensive, diagnostic report includes information about the testee’s performance on each subtest of the CLTNCE.
The CLTNCE is a pass/fail (no levels as of Jan. 1, 1997) minimum national standard of practice. When a testee passes the CLTNCE a Translator Skills Certificate (TSC) is awarded.
The TECUnit Board is currently reviewing the CLTNCE Maintenance Program. Once approved all nationally certified transliterators will be required to maintain standards in order to retain certification.
