Request CEHs for an Unsponsored Event
If a hosting organization does not apply for CEHs for its event, a CLT may make an individual request for CEHs. This process opens up opportunities for CLTs to earn CEHs in courses that address their specific needs, fit their resources, and are easily accessible.
If you are a nationally certified CLT and you wish to earn CEH credit for an unsponsored event, review the following steps. Before you apply, consider the event’s appropriateness for continuing education. Courses should be relevant to cued language transliterators and at an appropriate level to maintain or advance the skills of an already-nationally certified CLT.
Applications should be received by the TECUnit at least two weeks prior to the start of the event. Applications submitted less than two weeks before the event start date will incur an expedite fee. No requests for CEHs are considered after an event has started.
Step 1

Your completed form may be sent by email to info@tecunit.org or you may also print this form and submit it by mail.
Step 2
[For an Individual CLT Only] Application fee to review a CEH approval request by a nationally certified CLT who seeks to attend an event that is not being sponsored for CEHs by the hosting organization.
After your paperwork is sent, you will need to submit the payment of $25 (which can be made by check made payable to the TECUnit or by credit card).
Applications should be received by the TECUnit at least two weeks before the event’s start date. This will give reviewers time to go over your request and to reach out for clarification or more detail. Applications received within two weeks of the event’s start date will require an Expedite Fee in order to be preocessed.
No applications will be reviewed until both the application and fee are received.
